@everySOLEincluded Its when the spider basically sheds its skin, so it can continue to grow.....or to replace lost limbs..This process can take several hours and they are quite vulnerable at this time..

I had a mexican redknee and this was the thing I had never witnessed I witnessed feeding but never this... unfortunately he is dead :(

@VVarrio removing the old exoskeleton for a bigger one... after the molt, the tarantula needs like a week to harden the new one. Many insects and lizards molt, is the way they grow. Less videogames bro

how can you tell when it's about to molt a side from it being upside down?

@NorCalExotics No, I just shot a few seconds at each stage of movement and put them all together. I don't even have a real video camera.
