Albert one is well known in italo disco music in the 80's. but towards the late 80's 88 onwards, house music began to take over, so albert one had to move in that new direction. He only made one italo house record, this one, thankfully. this one is produced by bortolotti, the same guy behind the 49ers who had big italo house hits in 89 - 90.

  • The album cover photo is alright but the song is fabulous! He is a more than a competent singer. The song structure and music suits the vocals well. There should be more Italo House recorded and released again.

  • yes he is a good singer, as for me, i prefer italo disco, but this one still has the same drums as italo disco, just the arrangement style is like house.

  • i can see very vague house elements behind the song but it has enough of the italo/80s huge productive sound to still carry song into a great competitor. this also songs like an amped up version of "chaka khan - aint no nobody" - particularly in the chorus line.. theres too much dimension to this song to be just house

  • @djmusicjac sorry i meant Albert One not Joy, been listening to both

  • magical, awesome splendid, spectacular, genius, inventive, creative, a few words for Joy. The tunes say it all

  • Albert One did quite a few tracks of Italo-Dance or Italo-NRG & they were ALL quite good IMHO! :-)

Thanks Alcyon for uploading this :-)

  • 1988 was sadly the last year that pop/dance was audible. it all became a tragedy lost in the shuffle of house/hip hop trends mostly from here onwards. The UK was rife with all that dodgy dance music replicating the chart numbers as early as february of that very year on and off. If u look at the uk top hits weekly, from mid october of 1988 there was at least 7-8 of those awful house songs in the top 40 every week. and most of the other pop music wasnt really that worthy of note either.

  • excellent italo disco house, lets rock da house down, one big party italo disco house meets chicago disco house, have some streetdancers and breakdancers. One big disco house party

  • Isn't this the label Paul LeKakis was on?

  • I actually love this song now! its one of those that really catches the ears and doesnt go so easily :)
