Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas - Bad To Me

Lyrics:
If you ever leave me, I'll be sad and blue
Don't you ever leave me, I'm so in love with you

The birds in the sky would be sad and lonely
If they knew that I'd lost my one and only
They'd be sad, if you're bad to me

The leaves on the trees would be softly sighin'
If they heard from the breeze that you left me cryin'
They'd be sad, don't be bad to me

But I know you won't leave me 'coz you told me so
And I've no intention of lettin' you go
Just as long as you let me know, you won't be bad to me

So the birds in the sky won't be sad and lonely
'Coz they know that I've got my one and only
They'll be glad, you're not bad to me

(Instrumental)

But I know you won't leave me 'coz you told me so
And I've no intention of lettin' you go
Just as long as you let me know, you won't be bad to me

So the birds in the sky won't be sad and lonely
'Coz they know that I've got my one and only
They'll be glad, you're not bad to me
They'll be glad, you're not bad to me..., to me..., to me...

  • I sang this in class yesterday. The teacher, who's around 60, got extremely happy.

The other kids were like, "Who sings that? Bruno Mars?"

God, transport me to the 60's. Or 50's. Please.

  • saw him live on the beatles bill in 63 he was brilliant live

  • Is a one of the song of Lennon/McCartney and then has gave the demo at the Big BillY J. but the style are them, in those days......there is another song wrote for other artist"world without love" sing by Peter & Gordon...maybe there'll be another...good serching..(sorry for my english)

  • I feel sorry for the young music listeners of today. Music of today is just crap.

They will never know what REAL music is like.

Not just a bunch of noise, yelling and screaming that makes no sense at all.

    Rap is crap...thrash is trash.

  • Singing this for the school musical auditions:D The play is 50's themed so I figured I would pick something in the 40's through 60's range -14 year old girl lol

  • For all of you who say this is better than the Beatles,L&M only made a demo version of this which was a rough recording of vocals and an acoustic guitar. They gave the song away,I'm sure if they wanted to keep it they'd record it perfectly turning into another #1 hit.

  • @smokiebird06 thank you

  • @LarryFogarty absolutely right!!

  • @pinkyellowblackred bar this one ...this a better version......my opinion

  • First, this was a throw away song. Itls like when L&M were at a party and sneering it is so simple to write Rock & Roll songs that it was a license to print money. They then went into the kitchen and wrote 'I WANT TO BE YOUR MAN' in 15 minutes and then handed it to Mick and said 'Any Twit can write a No #1 Song---Here, knock yerself out, Mick!!! What is truely Amazing is that the Beatles left Mersy Beat for Folk Rock for Psychedellia for Modern Rock and Billy and his ilk couldn't/didn't.
