KTA Store Party 2010: Musical Chairs (with a twist).

By popular demand by fellow employees. Here is the game we played on the New Years Party.

Here are the actual rules to the game.
SETUP:
Arrange chairs in a circular order or a flat oval if there is not enough room, make sure to number each chair according to how many players there are. There should be 1 less chair than the number of people just like classic musical chairs.

Index cards, and a bowl (or a paper bag, box etc) something that can do a random drawing.

RULES:
Just like regular musical chairs, people will travel around the circle of chairs as the music plays. When the music stops everyone must find a chair to sit on. The person without a numbered chair is out of the game.
THE TWIST: The reason for the random drawing is that each of the index card will have a number corresponding to a certain chair. A member of the audience will draw a card to ensure fairness. For the card that is drawn, the person who is sitting in the chair with whose number corresponding to the number of the card will be eliminated as well. After another card will be drawn by the host (who also controls the music), this chair will be taken out the game, but the person will remain for the next round.

Example Gameplay.
There are ten chairs, and eleven players. Each chair is numbered from numbers 1-10

Music plays like normal, the music stop suddenly, and everyone scrambles for a chair. One person is still standing with all the chairs occupied. That person is eliminated.

The host then stands up and ask an audience member to pick a number out of the hat, that number is number 7. Whoever is in chair number 7 is eliminated in that round as well.

The host then draws another card, number 8. Number 8 chair is eliminated but the person sitting in chair 8 stays in the next round. This is just to ensure that there is one less chair than people.

Repeat procedure. If by any chance there is a final 2, the last round will be played like normal.

For fun, use Double elimination rounds, in which 2 cards will be drawn by the audience, rather than 1. Those 2 people are then eliminated.
