And yes, I know I'm late to the YouTube party, but I was discussing local bands with a friend, and remembered that The Mercy Cage were playing when we first met. Great band, great people, great reason to make friends, I hope they show up here again soon.

@daisaigai7 And you obviously haven't heard much of The Mercy Cage to say that's all their music is. As @kmanx said, this isn't typical of them. I still love it, but it's not their usual, which IS mostly Dark Wave (with occasional off-genre songs like this one thrown in for variety). So you can call them a Dark Wave band in spite of this particular track not fitting that genre.
-
Sorry, but i think you never listened to Dark Wave music. Dark Wave is related to New Wave. And Mercy Cage's song is simply Dance/Techno music with a constant TR-909 bass drum. Eurodance/Techno has a shit to do with New Wave/Dark Wave.

@daisaigai7 this song ist darkwave but 90% of their songs are, so u can say that the band is a darkwave band

In the 1990s, we called this Dance/Tekkno. If you think it's Industrial or Dark Wave, you're wrong. Tekkno beats have absolutely nothing (NADA!!!) to do with Industrial or Wave music.

Well Poo Poo on the 2% who didn't like this vid.

is it just me or are there lots of words that pop up and disappear quick in the music video? are there subliminal messages in this... i hope im not just being too paranoid.
