I still watch Globe Trekker it on Travel Channel and i like it a lot. But the music theme I hear when I watch the show on the TV it's slighty different. On the chorus, it has some kind of instrument making a unique sound between the 2nd e 3rd beats (on the "and": 2 AND 3)

I watched this my entire childhood, back when it was called Lonely Planet, had a guy at the beginning creating a circle around him with a stick in the sand, and aired on the only Discovery Channel there was, back when they aired other shows than someone overhauling a crappy car or building motorbikes. I remember Ian and Megan and how much we all loved to see them travel everywhere and we'd listen to this music while watching the scenery from the bus or car in almost kind of old style film...
