Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son Drum Cover (Rock Band 2 Expert Drum Chart) on real drums

Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas.

First: No comments about my big bald head! I'm already well aware of it :-P

I recorded the Expert note chart from Rock Band 2 while in Practice mode, and extracted the audio. Then I mixed the audio from my drumming vid with the Practice Mode vid and overlayed the note chart.

You'll probably notice that I don't stick exactly to the chart...I took a few liberties at some points, mostly because I've been playing this song in cover bands for years and I'm used to playing it a certain way.

I tried to mostly play along with the chart, but was also using really crappy headphones so it was hard to hear the music (hence why I might have gotten off-time slightly a few times). Next time I'll use better headphones! :)

I'm playing these on my Pearl Session Studio SBX drum set with all Sabian cymbals (except that little Zilbel that I didn't hit in this vid).

@elitespartancrust Probably because you're used to hearing fully processed and mastered recordings. All I did was feed the kick mic straight into my laptop.  No EQ, no effects, nothing. So yeah, it's pretty dry and flat. :)

@TurboNeon185 There was one mic on each of the kick drums, and one overhead mic. That's all I used for this one.

Why is it when I watch any other video on youtube...it plays fine...But all the FUCKING DRUM COVERS ARE SLOW AS HELL!!!!!! Ugh!!!!!! Anyways. Nice job man. Kepp it up.
