Regardless of what the attorney says, you should at least try to mitigate your damages.

Don't buy anything made in China.
Just because Sick Willy Clinton gave them preferred trading status, as well as military secrets doesn't mean we have to drink the yellow Kool-ade.
Or as I call it piss.
Boycott China.

If is absorbed into the concrete somehow... wouldn't it be possible to apply a sealer?

Hi, I have the same problem in my new townhome unit. I was told by my lawyer that even if you remove 100% all the defective chinese drywall, there is no scientific evidence that this will solve the problem since the gas may have gone to the cement and other structures. I want to know your thougs about this. Thanks.

First one needs to define the goal of the remediation. In many Chinese drywall homes, the home is simply uninhabitable. Our goal is to make a home habitable again. While your attorney may be correct in that no scientific evidence exists that shows gas goes into concrete I think we can logically agree that the source of the contamination is the drywall. Removing the drywall stops the source of the contamination. When complete, the change is undeniable; the home is again habitable.
