Harvey has announced that 2012 is his last year of touring, so sad. See him if you can...

Saw him sing this at the Red Lion Folk Club, Westhoughton in the early 80's and he autographed both his LP's for me. What a performer.....not just a singer, an artist!!! Long may he carry on!

He's playing Worcester 5th November. He has slowed down a hell of a lot this year, but retirement? I bet he still keeps his hand in.

@MusikHHClip Wish I'd known about him retiring a lot earlier. I saw Harvey in the late 70s in our folk club in BMH Hannover and was blown away. I would love to see him again but live in South Wales so regrettably I won't be able to make his last gig. All the best and thanks for such a wonderful time Harvey.

Hi,
After nearly 50 years on the road I've decided to announce my last year as a full timer. I'm putting together a year of my favourite gigs and making my last visit to these venues. The year will finish in October 2012 with a final gig at Lichfield Guildhall.

If I'm up, I listen to because I want to, If I'm down I listen to this because it lifts me up. What better reasons can there reasons can there be to listen to a song? Thanks Harvey.

Whatever "it" is mr Andrews definitely has it when it comes to writing and singing. Long live the writer of songs .
Best track by the best singer song writer this country has ever produced

I have seen him live. The song that most touched me is 'Soldier'. I am from the North West of Ireland, and this is the first song that I have heard, that tells us the agony and compassion that an English soldier showed before he died. I was so upset. I always knew it, but to be presented in this way... I cried. I have always known how pointless the troubles in Ireland were, as so many Irish died or were murdered. It is so much better now. I love going home. Harvey, what a fantastic song.
