no it isnt based at W56 atherton, its based at W60 agecroft.

this is based at Atherton fire station no:w56 (west 53)

The fire was at the former Bernstein's Kitchens factory and as it was/is a 'hazchem' site it could have turned into a really major incident, had the fire spread over from the office complex to the factory/warehouse areas.
Thankfully, my firm (who used to be in offices on that same site) moved out at Christmas to new offices just up the road!

this was there because the fire was so huge, you could see the smoke from the other side of Leigh. Went miles into the sky.
