Donnie my red ear sliders 125 gallon tank. his home made docks and his 3 friends the gold fish. ive had him about about 6-7 months hes been awesome, such a fun pet. i wanted to share some of the stuff ive done to his tank. i had problems at first figuring out what he likes and how to make/do things so it didnt get cluttered or look messy. this is my first turtle and hes caused me lots of reading but its been worth all of it. we still have a little ways to go to get his tank 100% (bigger filter and all) id like to be able to raise the water level more someday maybe even get his a friend ive been looking into maybe a male musk to bunk up with him. but his new sand is just good ol play sand from home depot. it was a long boring process cleaning it but i think it gave his tank a nice beach feel. him and the fish seem to love it.

  • @mattman2817 I've getten all mine off Craigslist. This one was $200ish if I remember.

  • @dreamrealitysometime they do est fish most love fish. But sometimes you find a turtle that will live with them if you get fish that are close to the same size as the turtle they stand a better chance.

  • @chickmagnets11 thank you, this turtle is about 5 inches.

  • @jeproxish on the contrary turtles are very solitary animals and really only tolerate each other to mate.

  • @fawstin best comment so far and you made my day :)

  • @theshaungawler yes when I add new water I do cause I have city water that's full of chemicals. I use something like reptisafe but in bulk. Other then that I do not use chemicals.
