Cleaner Production Concept and Practice

Cleaner Production is a concept that enables companies and organisations to put resource efficiency into practice. Measures to save energy and resources as well as to reduce waste and emissions are tailored to the individual needs of the company: thus not only results in a profit for the environment but also for the company through significant cost savings. The basics of the approach are the analysis of flows of materials and energy, the visualisation e. g. using Sankey-diagrams, the identification of waste sources and the implementation of measures (good housekeeping, technological upgrades, new technologies).
