One of four Bassmaxx ZR18 subwoofers that I use in my main sound system. This is a free air test with 250 watts RMS sine wave @ 20Hz. The 18" Bassmaxx driver is making a 3" excursion. Note, this video clip has no sound track, anyway the frequency is too low to be picked up by the video camera's on board mic.

  • hey basspig. are they dual voice coil. if so how many ohms are each of the coils?

  • @andythewooferguy I don't think it's a dual coil. It has dual sets of terminals to double the current carrying capacity of the lead in wires to 60 amperes, according to David, in a telephone conversation we had in 2006. A single set of lead ins would burn out when the woofer was driven to rated power, so the dual leads were a solution to that problem.

  • Do You Have This Subwoofer In A 15" Frame ?

  • I wouldn't know. I'm an end-user, not the manufacturer.

  • Driver manufactured around Nov 2005.
