Bassmaxx/CGN Audio Labs ZR18 Excursion Test

One of four Bassmaxx ZR18 subwoofers that I use in my main sound system. This is a free air test with 250 watts RMS sine wave @ 20Hz. The 18" Bassmaxx driver is making a 3" excursion. Note, this video clip has no sound track, anyway the frequency is too low to be picked up by the video camera's on board mic.

hey basspig. are they dual voice coil. if so how many ohms are each of the coils?

@andythewooferguy I don't think it's a dual coil. It has dual sets of terminals to double the current carrying capacity of the lead in wires to 60 amperes, according to David, in a telephone conversation we had in 2006. A single set of lead ins would burn out when the woofer was driven to rated power, so the dual leads were a solution to that problem.

Do You Have This Subwoofer In A 15" Frame ?

Whooaaa ! I have to know where and how I can buy these ! I've found nothing about these on google... Do you think these can be used in an encolsed configuration ? And how much do they cost ?
