I just wanted to comment saying I'm currently enrolled in a 2 year auto tech program and am working at National Tire Battery. I also have my inspection and emission licenses at age 18 and do occasional inspections at work. School has taught me a lot, the biggest chunk of which is electronics. Nearly all the hands on we do has to do with electrical troubleshooting and I've found it very very helpful to have a solid understanding of these systems.
