Peter Schiff is very good at predicting future financial trends, but makes many common investor mistakes. So he can see what's coming, but walks in front of the oncoming bus anyway.
The great depressing was actually caused by the same thing that has caused this nightmare. That is over leveraging. Large institutions invested too much of their wealth in crap. And when the meltdown started, they didn't have the money available to pay their creditors.

The other guy should learn some history. The government did not get us out of the depression. The market was not stable until 1951. President Hoover, with his high protectionist policies and overproducion(Hoover gave 2 billion dollars to wealthy bussinessmen after the stock market crash), made the problem worse. FDR made the problem worse with his public works projects and the federal reserve caused it with liquidated assests.

You answer is so typical of those who would rather look at something so silly such as someone's ethnicity and/or religious belief.
Here you are throwing out a half baked derogatory comment based on Mr. Leeb's ethnicity and yet you seem to forget that Mr. Schiff is also of Jewish descent.
The problem with Mr. Leeb is his flawed monetary beliefs in big government and has nothing to do with his background.
Do yourself a favor and get an education instead of relying on vitriolic hyperbole.
