    I love all those shows but gotta give the nod to the Wire. Tough call cuz any writer that can make you pull for the 'bad guy" has done the tough job of painting an unsympathetic figure in a sympathetic light. Extremely hard to do.

    Nothing I've ever seen anywhere truly captured the multi-faceted aspect of society and how it all interacts though. It was waaaay more than a crime drama. It was more like a good hard look in the mirror as a society.

    Six Feet Under is a fine piece of art. Haven't seen the entire show but I've seen the first season. Really good so far in my opinion. Cheers mate

    Sure they're different, but they're also all alike. Those three shows are pretty much the same genre. Crime dramas with a touch of reality. But saying that they're the best is a subjective opinion. Hell, I love The Wire, but I also enjoy Six Feet Under. Someone who's not into crime dramas might say that's the best show. Or something else for that matter
