Few things we do in this life are truly long-term; pursuing an education, finding a soul mate, raising a family. For me, climbing all the 14ers in Colorado was an 11-year quest - some might say obsession - that ended on this mountain. A requiem is often translated as "peace". The music is Charlotte Church's version of the classic aria "Pie Jesu" and "Lucy Meets Mr. Tumnus" from the beautiful soundtrack to Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. If your Latin is as bad as mine, the lyrics to "Pie Jesu" translate to this: Kind Lord Jesus,
grant them rest. Kind Lord Jesus,
grant them everlasting rest.
May you all find peace in the mountains. Much thanks to my new friends Frank & Ken; climbing alone is dangerous. Guys, I couldn't have done it without you!

  • Congrats, man. A fitting tribute to your dad with Charlotte's voice of an angel to go with you.

  • Really nice bro'....congrats on finishing all the Fourteeners!
