Sonic Robo Blast 2 Final Boss: Black Eggman/ Metal Robotnik

The last battle in the latest version of the popular (and for good reason) 11-year Sonic the Hedgehog fan project, released on July 24, 2009. I had to sit through a few game over screens and trek all the way through the grueling last zone multiple times before I figured this boss out, so I decided to make this video to both show the fight and how to win it.

This guy has four means of attacking, and in the following order: firing cannonballs, shooting out a machine-gun barrage of immobilizing goop, firing a cluster of spike-studded missiles, and leaping onto one of the five platforms in the area. Keep in mind, if you get shot with the goop Black Eggman will stop what he's doing to personally leap over and crush you.

Seeing as how you only get one ring for the whole fight, here are a few tactics to help you out:
1. To easily dodge the cannonballs, simply stay close. They fire in an arc, so you'll be totally safe.
2. How to effectively dodge the goop depends on Black Eggman's location. If its on the middle platform, stay as close as possible (but don't move once it starts firing, or you WILL get hit). If its anywhere else, use the collapsing platforms as shields.

There are two different ways to inflict damage. First off, you can jump on/near his head and quickly move out of the way (it's actually possible to reach the head from the four outer pillars, though if you're playing as Knuckles, you're going to need to jump on the collapsable platforms for the necessary height). He'll try to strike you but end up hitting his head instead, granted that you come out unharmed. Additionally, you can jump up and latch onto one of the missles that it fires, and steer them right back.

Once the boss has only two hits remaining, it'll shatter the middle platform, forcing you to rely on missiles for the remainder of the fight.

Recorded using some free recording program called CamStudio. Ignore the cursor and titlebar , this was my first time recording something off of my computer and I wasn't quite sure what I was doing. Audio doesn't record correctly either, so I simply used the .ogg track for the fight and looped it for the duration.

@AaronPr19 Actually, the developpers continue to work on the game. But he's finished. This is just updates for the multi-player and for modificate some things on the levels. For example, the next update will add more ways for Knuckles and this boss will be a simple boss. An other boos will be the final boss.
