@strangeones4 The only reason "some" in the UK feel superior is they have government controlled radio and TV, which includes a TV license fee. Therefore you have BBC Radio 4 that offers the spoken word, and BBC radio 3 that's classical music 24/7. In America it's called a choice. PBS, and NPR, are half funded by the federal government, but are also privately funded through donations. To really believe that half of America is dumb, is complete drivel. Ask Stephen Fry.

@Fireproofkitten Those Americans who like British TV, also know about the dark side of British TV through the internet/Youtube. Since America stole most of their reality shows, what does that say for the average Brit? To pretend your current pop culture isn't as shallow, and phony compared to America is disingenuous. I have BBC Radio 1 on Sirius satellite radio, case closed. I hope Adele saves the music industry on both sides of the Atlantic.

@Fireproofkitten Well if you put that to a test, there are only 58 million members of the UK vs. 313 million Americans. That means half of the American population is beyond equal ground with the population of the UK in terms of intelligence. That's almost double the entire population of the UK. As if the UK population doesn't contain the scum of society. That's at least twenty percent of the population.
Seriously?

@strangeones4 I love BBC shows. I do consider them, generally speaking, better than american shows.
yea... well if you think about it, half of all Americans have below average IQs.... and id wager that a large percentage of those have access to the internet... worlds perception of America explained.

Thanks to Youtube, Americans can appreciate this great comic. Not only is he hilarious on QI, he acted in an outstanding mystery series "Jonathan Creek". I've seen all the "Wire In the Blood" episodes, and Creek is just as compelling.
The sad fact is that BBCAmerica thinks we're a bunch of idiots and won't air Qi in America. After reading some of these comments, I now understand.
