Day 12 - Claravis/Accutane (40mg/day)

This is 12 days into taking Claravis 40mg a day. Then the plan is to do 60mg a day for the other 4 months. And sorry this is such a long video - others will be a lot shorter - also I can't edit it right now. And I just realized that i was spelling and pronouncing Claravis. Oh well. You get it.

Hello! I'm three months off of the medication and have clear, smooth skin and not one pimple. I probably haven't had a pimple for 5 or so months. Although, about two weeks after my medicaiton was complete I started to lose my hair. Just wanted to be honest and note this side effect. I'm hoping it stops sometime soon. Good luck with everything!

@ralph8507 sorry this is so long ;) anyway, i think my skin is maybe 10-15% better as far as helping my pores stay unclogged just from 2 months. however, i am still getting some minor blackheads on my nose, very minor chest breakouts and a few bumps under the skin. overall i think accutane is great. if i could have been assured my hair would have grown back in i would have taken the whole damn 5 months worth. oh well.

@ralph8507 hello ralph. i did end up going on accutane a couple months later(some things came up)however I only took it for two months and my hair started falling out quite a bit so I stopped out of fear. apparently hair loss is normal while taking this, but i just couldn't continue. while on the accutane my skin looked great. i had very minor initial breakout, my skin was dry but nothing a moisturizer couldn't handle. my skin got really oily again a few weeks after i stopped

do you have to keep putting the lotion on all day? like if you don't will your face feel like it wants to crack or something? i am about to go on it tomorrow :/ I will be 30 in January so thank you so much for posting this don't feel stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks for sharing! I am 39 into my 10th day of Claravis, 40 mg. I can relate to the age and also the wasted years of suffering from acne and trying a huge arsenal of medications only to continue breaking out in cysts. Do you have any recent videos? You're probably nearing the end of your treatment, huhh?....I hope time flies for me, I can't wait to see my face toward the end of this!! ;)
