http://damagecontrolmma.com/mma-solo-training/ CSW Coaches Brian Yamasaki and Brandon Kiser share one of their favorite drills for developing the basic level of the Boxer's Slip. This can be used in Boxing, MMA and occasionally in Muay Thai and Thai Boxing (although it is much more dangerous due to kicks and knees). Learn more at DamageControlMMA.com or visit them at their home gym Mushin Self Defense in North Salt Lake Utah for more Self Defense, MMA, Muay Thai, and Submission Grappling Instruction.

  • @ShaSupreme Maybe I didn't really understand you, but there are a few techniques where you can jab the shit out of your opponent while moving backwards. I don't know what it is called in english, but it has to be something like "diagonal steps" or something like that.

  • @ShaSupreme

I totally agree with you totally about maximizing power, but the job punch isn't always about hitting with power. it can be used in off setting someone's combo rhythm, or gauging your distance while moving backwards.

  • You cannot JAB nor PUNCH when moving backwards due to the fact that your weight ( ie your power ) is also traveling backwards.. For moving forward this is fine, but when moving backwards, you need to move - sit ( or plant ) - then throw your attacks to maximize power.

  • first i saw you with dumb and dumber look than big ear ring look now metrosexual viking your a man (i think) of many faces hahahahahha do you have any vids with saku

  • not suppoesed to have a foot off the ground when you punch, it robs you of power.. other than that good vid

  • i never step back only forward or circle

  • You guys rock - some of the best training vids on you tube. Thanx heaps. Love to see you guys in oz sometime. In the meantime keepem comin

  • Please pay atencion to my post,my intencion is to help. Normaly when i puch i have a rule if my oponent has his feet pointing inside or if he move the head boxinng style i just kick his front leg. It is very dificould for him to block! When i did competicion i win some zfights like this. My speciality is the lowkick

  • When you move the head to the sides, like a boxer style
