@PeterL571 this is a common problem... it may be that your pegs don't fit the peg holes... this is a really simple fix. Just take it to a local violin luthier (maker/fixer), and he can custom fit pegs for you.. this usually doesn't cost more that 20 dollars :)

On the subject of violins (funnily enough on this video). I played for many years but gave up when I started secondary school (High school) because of peer pressure, silly I know but I was young. I'm starting to play again but I find my violin goes out of tune almost instantly and I can see the problem is the pegs at the head of the instrument. Any advice to fixing this problem or should i simply push the pegs further in so they are tighter?
