A central decrease that can be used for any number of stitches; works in lace, ribbing, stocking stitch and cables! This is a really simple decrease that's rather long-winded to explain. Here's how you do it:
Slip half the number of sts you want to decrease +1 pwise to right needle
Pass 2nd st on right-hand needle over 1st
Return 1st st on right-hand needle to left-hand needle
Pass 2nd st on left-hand needle over 1st
Return 1st st on left-hand needle to right-hand needle
Repeat until desired number of sts is decreased.

Hot Dawg! This is beautiful. I especially like the scallop edge you showed. I just can't want to share it with my knitterly friends!
