Melvin Smoak, Superintendent of Orangeburg Consolidated District 5, lives in one of the nation's poorest counties. As the chief administrator for Orangeburg 5, Smoak already makes a whopping $130,000+ a year, but that wasn't enough for him. Smoak and his friends on the school board made sure he got a fat check for all the unused vacation and sick days from his 35 years in Orangeburg public schools. While most school employees get only $40 a day for unused vacation days, Smoak was paid $540 per day! Shouldn't a steady stream of pay increases and $5,000 "good performance" bonuses be enough for Melvin Smoak? Orangeburg 5 schools only graduate 45% of high school students on time, and ripping off the taxpayers for $84,000 will not change that.
This guy needs some tar and some feathers. Oh by the way, Fannie and Freddie create the mortgage guidelines not he banks. If the banks new they would be left holding the bag when the people wouldn't or couldn't pay then they wouldn't have funded the loans. But if big brother is telling you that you will make the loan or get fined for unfair lending and don't worry we got your back if they don't pay....well...what choice would you make?

Why should school administrators make anything? The real money government pays out is in the trillions, and it goes the the geniuses that invented the mortgage, investment, and insurance frauds that cleaned out the taxpayer's treasury and maxed out the national credit card. Then they can use that enormous fund of public money to create ads like this.
