Cyclops appeared in the Shrek series. Hercules did not. Neither did Hades. Cyclops was one of Charming's men. Hades has always been the main enemy of Hercules. But how come Cyclops appeared in the series other than Hades did even though he is the main enemy of Hercules?

Before Shrek or Shrek 2, Igor turned evil and stopped working for Dr. Frankenstein in Transylvania. Then he left Transylvania and went to Far Far Away. When he got there, he started his new job @ the Poison Apple. At the end of Shrek the Third, Igor turned good again, went back to Transylvania and was once again the assistant of Dr. Frankenstein.

Unlike Igor, Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, and Dr. Frankenstein did not appear in the Shrek series. Igor was the only character from Frankenstein by Mary Shelley that appeared in the Shrek series. If Frankenstein and his bride appeared in the Shrek series, they'd be part of Charming's posse of fairy tale villains. If Dr. Frankenstein appeared in the Shrek series, he'd be included as one of Shrek's allies.

I don't know why Ichabod Crane didn't exist in the Shrek series but before one of the Shrek movie, the Headless Horseman stole his severed head at Sleepy Hollow. This makes me think that the Headless Horseman killed him. First the Headless Horseman killed Ichabod and then he stole his head. He killed him just like he did in the story.

The Blue Fairy did not appear in the Shrek series but she brought Pinocchio to life before the first Shrek movie.

Instead of Shrek 5, there will be a movie entitled Puss In Boots in November. It'll be shown in theatres on Friday the 4th in November this year. It is either a prequel to Shrek or all of the Shrek series. Nobody from the past Shrek series will appear in the prequel but Puss in Boots. But there will be new characters. I don't know if any of these 17 characters will be in the movie.

There will never be a Shrek 5. There originally going to be one but they cancelled it. In other words, they changed their mind about making Shrek 5 and decided to make Shrek 4 the final Shrek movie. For the Shrek series, they could have made Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Ichabod Crane, Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, Dr. Frankenstein, Hercules, Hades, the Blue Fairy, Paul Bunyan, Aladdin, Alice, the Little Red Hen, or Cinderella's ugly stepmother.
