Two rebellious British teenagers experience strict parenting on the other side of the world, as 18-year-old little princess Anastasia Jones and aggressive 16-year-old Eden Lelliott Moore get new parents in Florida, USA.

For a week they must live under the watchful eyes of the Armstrongs, a family of devout Christians. Dad Linzey and mum Jeanie believe in total control of their four children's lives, to prevent corruption from the outside world. So TV and computer games are banned, as are movies such as Harry Potter.

The Armstrongs have prepared a set of house rules for the British teenagers banning drink and drugs, swearing, the raising of voices and saying no to Linzey. Anastasia immediately clashes with Jeanie when her cleavage is showing.

Over the week the teens are tightly controlled. They work on the Armstrongs' ten-acre ranch and are only allowed strictly supervised visits to the outside world. Can Anastasia learn to grow up and stop saying no? Can Eden learn to master his rage and say sorry to his mother?

  • "never heard such an accent". Man, is that how secluded they are from the rest of the society?

  • I wanna spend a week with the Armstrongs, actually looks like fun xD

  • the girl from florida looks like a dog, like her hair looks like ears and she stands like a dog sort of.

  • @ablg234 Not the point. My country has rules that I don't agree with, but, as long as I don't find them unethical, I follow them. So does my school, my job...Heck, my local pizza shop has rules I don't agree with (no hoods in the store...I know they do it for theft, but sometimes I'm just covering a bad hair day and I hate it!). If they insisted I wear a burqua to order pizza, that would violate my human rights. But a t-shirt or hood? Annoying, but not unreasonable. And that is the point.

  • @ltrotter1008 I think the rules don't make sense and I'm an adult.

  • ...and, for real. If you can't wear a t-shirt, play card-games, and do some light physical labor for 10 days without complaining? You're not fit for much.

  • I think the folks questioning the rules are missing the point...the point isn't whether the rules makes sense, its being respectful enough to bend to the rules of those responsible for you. Being an adult means following rules in someone else's domain, as long as they don't violate your ethics.

  • I feel like they're the kind of people that would mistake "I dont beleive in Jesus" with "I'm having anal sex with satan."
