@gu1tom01 I am with you. Bono is not a particularly talented musician. He didn't even want to be the singer when things started because... he didn't know how to sing! Which just makes the whole U2 thing more remarkable. Bono is not only a mediocre musician, but a very short-sighted political and social activist, but U2 has released some of the best records in the history of rock and roll, and it's hard to argue against that.

@gu1tom01 he's not hiding anything. Anyone who knows anything about U2 knows that Bono is the lead singer. The edge is the guitar player in U2. always was. And the phaser on the voice is to replicate the original song. Bono is not a guitar player and I'm sure he will be the first to admit it.

Any 2nd year guitar student can do this...and probably keep better time. This guy needs his band. Unlike a real talent like, say, Bruce Springsteen, Bono could not hold down even part of a show doing the solo thing. And why the phaser on the voice? What's he hiding?

@gu1tom01 lmao he's not hiding anything, it's an effect that's always present when he sings this song, he sings the song 'in character' and that's how the character sounds, if u think he's hiding something youtube any acoustic U2 live performance, there are hundreds, bono's not a guitar player, the performance is more about attitude then anything else, in the youtube search type 'bono so cruel' it's another acoustic performance from the same dvd, no phaser on the voice for ya
