Diana, I once picked up Michael Franks at a Houston Hotel for a radio Interview at the local Univeristy Jazz Station, and being a great fan of Tom Jobim and the "Bossa Nova" I asked him about his fascination with Brazil. and he told me that Mr. Jobim invited him to dinner at his house in Rio, and asked him to play for his guests. after dinner, all these lawyers and doctors played. and every person there was a better singer and player than MF. he said he felt like crawling out the door...
