You have to keep in mind that he could also walk in Wolverine: Origins. There are two more movies left in the prequel trilogy. Let's wait and SEE what happens.

It's like saying, "Wait, Anakin Skywalker was a kid in The Phantom Menace... but in A New Hope, he's this black robot guy with a red lightsaber! Can someone tell me how this is possible?"
