Very well played. Have you been learning the classical flute here in Delhi? I too am based here and learning under my Guru Shri Bhagwan Behera. Looking forward to more uploads from you and keep up the good work.
Cheers

Very nice sgahlot... one of my favourite raags next to bhopali. Have you heard Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma & Pt. Hari Prasad's Jugalbandi of Raag Jhinjoti? An absolute masterpiece. Would be happy to send it to you, send me a private message.
cheers!

sir . you played good, but i would say. this ghazal gulon main rung bharay ... i snot so fast.. if you play it with some delay and strech the notes it would be more beautiful, any way you are doing good efforts . sharjil baloch
thanks for your appreciation..yes..you recognised it correctly..rafi shab's song is in jhinjhoti and many other oongs like guide's songs "mo se chal kiye jaye' and "kya se kya ho gaya bewafa" .mehandi hasan 's ghazal gulon main rang bhare is also same raag ..i have played that tune also..Kishore kumar's famous song "ghungru ki tarah" is based on this raag too

wow that was very nice! i play a modern flute (metal kind) used in european classical. i am just starting indian classical and i think it very cool that you play on ur left side. Btw how did you get the scale your playing in? i mean the indian or european conversion if that term is valid?

raag jhinjhoti is based on mixolydian mode which is equivalent of "khamaj thaat" of indian classical music..simply speaking it is G mixolydian in the key of C...In insian bamboo flute as you can see only fingures are to be used to cover holes of the flute..the flat notes are produced by subtly covering half the hole and changing angle of blowing...pl do chk me out on facebook my i d is sanjay gahlot..we can really compare notes on music...thanks..

very apt observation..but i have only played the usual chalan of raaaga in untaaranga.'DSRmGSRn'D'nPDS...mPDS'PnSR'G'...and mehendai hasan has also followed same chalan in his ghazal so whereas i sound like the usual uutarnga of raaga..it also sounds like antara of meheandi hasan's ghazal...:)
