The Parish of St Elisabeth is a parish of the Orthodox Church in the Diocese of Great Britain and Ireland, striving to live the Orthodox Faith.

We are a small but growing community from various backgrounds, with people from Russia to Jamaica, with Britons and many in between. We are elderly and youthful; we have married people, resolutely single people, and those who are uncertain what the future holds. We have those who are firm in their Orthodoxy and those who are exploring; those who have always had faith and those who find it all very new.

Amidst all of this diversity, the things that unite us are our love for each other and our desire - our yearning - to grow into the likeness of God. To all who wish to become Orthodox Christians, or who are unsure where they are on their journey of faith, or who are simply curious to visit and learn a little about what we do, we offer our love, our prayers, and our welcome.

The accompanying music is the "Rejoice, Virgin Theotokos", composed by His Eminence, Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk, and available from his website: http://en.hilarion.orthodoxia.org/

  • Glory to God. What a lovely parish community you have! Would love to visit if I'm ever in your neck of the world.

    Christ is risen!

  • @BorislavX Your name has just been sent to me as one who wants the Hierarchical Liturgy book. I had known of your diaconal ordination but hadn't realised that you had since been ordained priest. Axios! And Many years!

I shall certainly be in touch when the book is ready.
