just recently traded a 2012 mongoose "X" frame black matte with disk brakes for a 1989 gt performer :) my friends where like "wtf that was a dumb trade!" 2 weeks later it got a new paint job,racing pro tires and mag rims with pegs and shit its gloss black and cherry red :)!

@punanifrommami gt were the best bikes all through 85-91. in 87, every kid in america wanted a performer or pro performer... CW california freestyles are sweet too!!

Gt's are always gonna be great bikes. The 80's were light chrome moly but the 90's ones were really great too. I dont know about the new ones. I know you can still get quality if you look for it. mines all chrome, 86 with redline flight three piece cranks and haro kneesavers from 88 and 86 skyway tuff twos. it is so old school. I had it since 94. Best bike I ever had.

Cool...I wish I had my old Haro Sport....weep....redline flites, green skyways...my kid bro sold it for £25 to his mate with 4 sets of different colour skyways, and all my spare kit...groan...I used to able to wheelie round our estate...one handed and no handed some times but had to really tighten the head set up for the no handed stuff...like I said at the start...cool !
