I had to uncover some of the harder secret areas for an easy start. And I wasted my power lines on the boss when he was still invulnerable :/ But the 1Ups and Lightning PowerUps were the important ones.

Hurrican is a freeware jump and shoot game for Windows PC created by Poke53280 that is based on the Turrican game series. Blast your way through nine action-packed levels filled with different enemies and powerups.

how the hell do you turn into that wheel metal blade thing?!!! Ive tried every key and nothing happens, without that its almost impossible to get past the first level, let alone the second

This really is a great copy of the Turrican games but no matter how hard i try i just cant get "anywhere" in the game using the Joypad i have for my PC because i am way to used to using a proper joystick on my C64 and Amiga. Its just a shame you cant buy a old school style digital joystick for your PC :(

You can buy an old skool Competition Pro USB Joystick plus 185 classic Amiga games plus an emulator for 18 € at Vesalia.

Best Turrican remake EVER! I remember playing the original one on the A500...

Independent games like this prove with no further doubt that mainstream game companies are failing miserably in game design.

@DebianCultist I agree! It´s not only the best remake of Turrican, it´s one of the best freeware games I´ve played. The game is a little challenging, but there´s some changes in gameplay that make the difficulty quite fair, like looking up and down to know where and when to land. It has all the options we need, including a difficulty option, we can suit the controls the way we like (it´s best with a joypad), there´s a great attention to detail and it looks and sound amazing!

@DuffbierFarmer hey, do you see the pipe hes standing on in 6:08? well there is a lil hole on the right, just go ball down there and you will find it for sure, oh and have fun finding the other stages secrets.
