I took a DR.1 for Rise of Flight from neoqb up for a check ride to test it's turning capability since I had some trouble with it in combat. Rudder, rudder, rudder is the key. Turns pretty damn sharp both ways, except with the left you need more rudder. The video is kind of boring, but I know some of you study this kind of thing all day. :-) Nothing in this video should be considered a scientific test. It's just me practicing some turns at low altitude and goofing around. Again, this is beta stuff, but you get the idea. I can't imagine flying something like this is real life in combat. I would die for sure.
can you tell me how the left turns go with the dr1??

Damn, I just bought it and I can't believe how intense the feeling of piloting is. :)

Really love this sim! I'm partial to the Albatross myself but all of the aircraft are gorgeous, challenging, and fun:) What you said in your info is exactly right about all of these aircraft - they are yaw monsters. The Dr.I is even moreso as it has an all flying vertical stab!

Actually flying this plane would be unbearable to think about for me. I would Be killed before i even made contact with an enemy plane.

when testing an airplane, you should always test out its stall point, or speed. I could only bare watching a little over six minutes of your turning. Not because it wasnt neat to watch, but my computer was having buffering issues. The Dr.1 is my favorite ww1 plane. Next time, do a barrell roll or two, and a loop to keep the veiwer interested. Youre flying that badboy like you are really gonna die if it goes down! Rag it man, see what it really can do, you'll be surprised.
