Part 2: (sorry) It will feed back at high volumes, so I bought a Lute Hole Products sound hole cover (#15 in Walnut). The Takamine's sound hole is a 4.25" instead of the standard 4". The sound hole cover works good when I'm using a very clean signal through a PA, but not great when playing through an amp. I am still working my way through different strings, still looking for the perfect tone. But, hey what bassist isn't always looking for the perfect tone? lol. :) -Keep Thumpin'
Takamine G Series EGB2S Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Bass. I have the same one, left-handed. It's a great bass, especially for the price. I've owned my for about 9 months. I like plugging into a direct box and then straight into the PA. It keeps more of it's natural tone. When I plug into a bass amp it sounds too much like a solid body.
