This is my first test with geckodrive g540 and Linux dapper with Emc2 .Motor transmission is directly from motor to Trapezoidal Spindle (1:1).The Trapezoidal Spindle is 12x3mm and motors are 1.8° which needs 200 steps to rotate 360°.With full step driving machine (200 steps machine moves 3mm).This driver is Four-motors 10-Microstep motor drives and that mean 10*200=2000.-or my laptop must give 2000 steps to move machine 3mm or if I divide 3:2000=0,0015 resolution of machine .In this video gecko supply voltage is 32v and feed rate is 3470 mm/min with laptop 2.4Ghz celeron processor which is pretty enough for my machine so I ordered an Power Supply 36v 350watt .My fist opinion of this g540 driver is very very positive .This is a beast driving my motors (1.65Nm-3A ).

Hi!
No, I had never any problems with emc2 or gecko.
Check axle coupling to be properly screwed or maybe disable smi on
your computer if you have some problem.
