Hupp is recognized as a leading advocate for the Second Amendment and an individual's right to carry a concealed weapon. On October 16, 1991, Hupp and her parents were having lunch at the Luby's Cafeteria in Killeen, TX. She had left her handgun in her car to comply with Texas state law. Gunman George Hennard drove his truck into the cafeteria and opened fire on the patrons. Both of Suzanne's parents were killed because laws obstructed her ability to defend herself and family.
@1990enzo And surely if you ban the gun he used he would have changed his mind about shooting all those innocent people and handed his gun in. After all, if you're a madman or criminal who doesn't respect the laws against murder you'll surely still respect a moratorium on guns. Or you know, maybe they'll just have easier (unprotected) targets.

Tragic for her family, but good for her, letting those morons know exactly what the truth about self defense is.

And how DID that guy get a gun? More gun crime in single US cities than in some countries.
