Hi radddogg, this is an excellent video, but due to the music used in this clip, it would at first not show in my country: As the German performance rights association GEMA and Youtube cannot find a common ground about fees charged for the artists GEMA claims to represent, Youtube blocks this entire clip. Could you upload this video with the music disabled? (Firefox users can use ProxTube to watch the video, but IE, Opera and Chrome users can not).

Great video (especially for RGH/JTAG experiments) but see now ... another country, some other stuff in the convenient stores.
As I understand the playdoh is the same as clay for toddlers or ?
thanx

@radddogg Thank you. I made the manipulation, and that worked ;)

@Lamastik0t Yes, but you need to use a lot of it otherwise the heat will get through and melt your switches

It's work if i remplace the "Play do" by "bluetack" please ?
what else could u use instead of playdoh? gum?

@XcellentShots Anything malleable really as long as it won't melt. If you haven't got anything then just layer it up with loads of layers of foil and tape but beware you have to use lots!!! If you don't protect the switches they WILL melt!

Why do you use a heat gun, is it necessary, how does it help hit

@dgek619 it just preheats the chip dies so they get up to temp quicker in the oven which helps to reflow the solder balls

@totolook This would work fine on ps3 also, but obviously protect any exposed plastic or capacitors
