Ubuntu sucks.... use Fedora, better packet management. there is no need to download mysql separetly, just type "sudo yum ınstall mysql mysql-server", it will check for dependencies and install required packets.

Hi, The video for installing mysql really great. But I am encountering an error during checkinstall phase where it says "libz.a" does not exist and fails check install...i am stuck here....could anybody help me how to proceed ahead...thax
