@jstoecker911 It is certainly one of the best tower defense games I've ever played, it is rare to find large scale ones that are challenging. I haven't been able to nail down a sure-fire way to win, I can't even replicate how I got to the self-sustaining defense, so you have to give yourself credit for a game that never works the same way twice.

so what course are you doing?

dang i came really late to the xna party..
just starting my game :(

Does it work on windows 7? Cus its not working for me. And by the way the weapons do look underpowered, but i'd have to find out for myself i guess. Looks good tho.

I know I'm late to the party, but just picked up XNA a while back and this is very inspiring. How long would you say it took you guys to build? I've about completed a 2D tower defense game (learning XNA) and would love to get started on a 3d one.

@unafragger Depends on your programming level. We were amateurs with little experience beyond introductory programming courses. It took us around 2 months of part-time effort. Have fun!

Whoo, finally got this working on my good computer and after hitting wave 100 it seriously began lagging. Not that I'm complaining, a large scale tower defense game like this I never expected to make it this far in the game. Still going on, my defense is for the most part self sustaining now unless you coded in surprises.

@valide1
No surprises unfortunately -- it's not really the most balanced or complex game, and was mostly just a course project that took up a lot of time. Glad you found it interesting though. Thanks!

does this game uses a pathfinding algorytm or it's just a predefined way

@ages987
The path is just a directed graph (set of connected waypoints). When a unit reaches a waypoint, it chooses a connected waypoint randomly.
