He says at 4:55 that Obamacare is "already increasing the cost of medicare" like its a big problem. Obamacare extends subsidized insurance to a larger fraction of the population than before. Of COURSE costs are going to rise, you're paying for more bloody PEOPLE.

Santorum starts out saying that seniors would not have to pay more, and then (at around 3:50) says his medicare plan (the GOP plan, that is) would reduce government deficit by reducing spending. How does this add up? as the old saying goes, money doesn't grow on trees. either the individual pays, or the government pays. If the government cuts spending, then people, specially seniors, spend more. Its not complicated economics, its common sense.

listen to santorum about 3:25 to 3:40. the typical american conservative misleading arguement. Equating choice with freedom. Being able to choose between several more expensive voucher programs rather than having a cheaper version imposed on you, is NOT, I repeat, NOT, increasing freedom, for those who cannot AFFORD the voucher program.
