The Heart Throbs were one of those lost 90's indie bands who never really hit the big time despite making some brilliant records. This single is a bit of an oddity as it came from their first album Cleopatra Grip, but was released after their second album Jubilee TwIst came out. Go figure?

thanks so much for this. there's a video for this song on allmusic, but i've never seen it elsewhere. it is odd that the song got it's UK single release 2 years after the US promo single release. anyway, thanks for putting this up.

Flew to london to see them in concert. They broke up the day I arrived and canceled the show that night. They owe me a plane ticket! Their NYC show ROCKED though. Great band. I was so mad they broke up. Darn it.

Saw them live in NYC the night Maggie Thatcher stepped down. They were getting airplay on the new wave station on Long Island and I thought they were awesome. "are you girls practicing your Cleopatra grip?" Rose Carlotti asked the crowd.
