Greyhound's 1999-2000 MCI-102DL3 (D4500) #6588 & 6315

Departing from the Greyhound bus station in Detroit are the late-90's or an early-2000's MCI-102DL3 buses #6588 and #6315. These buses Have the Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine with the ZF Astronic 10-12 speed semi-automatic transmission. You will also see the 1997 NovaBus RTS T8O-206 #3603 in the vid as well.

You hit 3 birds with 1 stone . That gate opens so slow. It looked like the RTS engine lid was opening. Are the RTS retired now?

@jfs1988: It's still active right now. Only the coaches #3290-3299 T8O-206S suburban-version RTSs were retired around June of 2010.

only the TMN&O buses had true manual trannys this is not a fuller its a zf astronic 10 speed automated friction clutch transmission. runs like a manual and fuel efficient.

that system has to have a high minimum of air preasure.. or the cluch will not engage..

@rm97ag That would depend on the series. I believe the earlier D-4500s still had the Allisons in them.
