JIxMa, some people (like me) have always felt that the commercialism of the holidays defeats the whole point of being a time where we think of others (many are much worse off than we are, and we try to think of them). IMHO maybe if our society didn't get so worked up about holiday gifts, we might be able to enjoy the holidays more w/o worrying about how much we're able to spend and teaching our kids to place emphasis on how much STUFF they're getting.

"Getting 'crafty' with their holiday spending"? Man! Is that a new euphemism for being a cheapskate? God, how I hate the time we're living in! The first generation that is doing WORSE than the previous one! For shame you greedy mofos that brought this economic apocalypse on us! For shame!
