This is a vid of the First Ten Minutes of Breath of Fire on the Snes.

This is one of my favorite Snes RPGs. It's got a lot of cool ideas at play that give it it's charm. It doesn't have the most developed storyline, or the most interesting characters, but it's all around a great RPG IMO. It's at times rather challenging as well.

This is another slow starter. There's a lot of text at the beginning, but I do eventually get to show off a few battles.

I missed getting Breath of Fire 2 on the Snes. I did later pick it up on the GBA only to find out that my GBA cart doesn't save the data. I've got 20 year old NES games who's batteries still save the data, so why should a GBA game already not hold a save? For shame really.

NOTE: I scroll the text about as fast as I read it, which may be too fast for some of you. If I'm going too fast, you may want to pause the vid to read all the text. Sorry, but I'm under a time limit in the vids, so I can't stop to show text for any longer than it takes me to read it myself.

  • pretty good game.

  • have you maybe played some submarines??

i cant remember the name :S

if you know send me =)

  • Power of the Dragon? Pfft if you would have gone with the power of Grey Skull this shit wouldn't have happened.

  • This is possible one of only two rpgs I've ever finished.

I loved the story later in the town of 'Time'. I thought it was so touching that I played the game 20-30 just to get to that part and finsihed it shortly after. I smile and think about playing this game again.

  • i'd say any good rpg starts art with a lot of text/script. it doesnt need to to be good, but its common among the good ones. very little or no background is common as well. i always found it interesting how a place u know nothing of from the start can make u feel for it later on. (FFX)
