This is a custom PCB with 16 LEDs and a 10F202 Microchip. The LEDs are in 4 sets of 4 and each set flashes in a rotating pattern. Board fits sandwiched in between some modified LEGO tiles which are glued together.

[edit 9-22-2010]I am not currently producing this item for sale. For more information on custom electronics for LEGO and other scale models please visit www.brickmodder.net and www.lifelites.com

  • Charlieplexing will allow 6 independent LEDs on 3 pins

  • if this was for sale, how much would it be?

  • @brickman619

    Probably $16-$20

  • Stay tuned for an update to this video with a new product prototype. We are in the process of developing the software for some new hardware and will be testing soon. If there is enough interest, then we will move forward with numerous designs and a new custom molded housing!

  • where can i buy that?

  • good for a wanabe

  • @brickmodder So it will!.. thank you very much. Im new at pic programming etc, this is great information.

  • Oh my gosh, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!! Except not rotating, but blinking like the new LED light bars.

  • How did you manage to wire this, looking at the 10F202 Data sheet it only has 3 outputs and 1 input. Did you use some kind of multiplexer or did you find a variant with a 4th output.. Or can it be changed from input to output?

I can see how this would work with a PIC12 chip but not the little Pic10.

    Thanks heaps for your help
