the victim ( the ugly guy , or the ugliest guy ) is a comedian. Japanese pranks are most of the times pulled to Comedians. Not just anybody.

@lpr5269 i think their reactions have a bit of "haha holy fuck tv producers allowed this?! holy shit, what the fuck!" mixed in there with at least a little bit of retroactive concern. of course, you can't expect one prank to be a sample of a whole nation's collective sense of humor. it's like thinking jackass, jeff dunham, or dane cook are shining examples of american comedy (no offense to anyone who does like them).

That guy is going to have post traumatic stress syndrome after that show. There is no way we could ever do that in the U.S. They must have a very different sense of humor there. Did you see the people in the audience laughing hysterically while this poor guy is scared out of his mind?
