~Demi's POV~

I went to my locker again. I put my books away and got ready for lunch. I was there waiting for Nick to come so we could go to the cafeteria together. He finally arrived and put his things in his locker.
"Sorry I took so long."
"It's ok." I said. We were about to walk, but a guy came to us. I rolled my eyes as Zac, the high school jock, walk toward us.
"Nick, can I talk to you?" He said before staring at me. I felt really uncomfortable by the way he was staring. It was like he was checking me out, with a big smirk on his face. It just reminded me of those days with my dad. "Hello Demi." He winked. I nodded my head once.
"Sure, Zac." Nick said. "Dems, I'll see you in the cafeteria." I only nodded and walked really fast. I could still fill him staring. Since that day with my dad I couldn't see a guy as before. I always got scared, but with Nick.. he was different. At least the way he treats me. I runned to the cafeteria. I needed to be with Miley and Selena.
Once I got in I looked for them. Once I spotted them I went to them, panting.
"Dems, are you ok?" Miley asked.
"Yeah, why are you panting?" Selena asked.
"Can we go to the bathroom please?" I asked desperate. I was about to cry again. I hated what my father did to me. They quickly stand up and walked to the bathroom. Once we were there, Miley checked all the stands to see if they were empty.
"Ok, it's safe." She said. I nodded and tried to catch my breath again.
"Dems, what happened?" Selena asked. That's when I couldn't take it anymore. I hugged her really tight and cried. She hugged me back and stroked my back. Miley came to us and help Selena to calm me down.
"Shh, everything is going to be alright." Miley said. I kept on crying.
"I hate him!" I said in between sobs.
"What?" They said in unison, not understanding.
"I FUCKING HATE HIM!" I screamed.
"What are you talking about?" Selena asked.
"My father" I began "Because of him, I'm a mess. I'm always sad, and I can't even see another guy the same way as before. I'm traumatized. I can't stand a guy see me. I always think bad of it." I explain "A little while ago, I was with Nick, the new guy-"
"What did that bastard did to you?" Selena said angry. I shook my head.
"No, it's not him. He's really nice. He's the only guy that I can stand." I smiled a little "But Zac" I paused "He stares at me with a smirk on his face. It freaks me out. It only reminds me of my father." I finished. They both sighed.
"Dems.." Selena starts.
"I'm sorry. I know it sounds stupid, but it's not my fault that my own father turned me into this." Tears falls from my eyes again.
"Demi, it's not stupid. And you know how Zac can be. He's the most popular guy on this school and that's how he sees every girl in here. So don't worry about it, ok?" Miley explained.
"Exactly, besides we're always going to be here for you, no matter what." Selena finish. I nodded and hugged them again. I don't know what I would do without them.
After I calmed down a little I remember that I was supposed to be with Nick in the cafeteria.
"Shoot!" I said, standing up quickly from the floor.
"What?" Selena asked.
"I was supposed to be with Nick." They giggled remembering how Selena called him a bastard. They stand up and follow me to the cafeteria. When we got there, I spotted him sitting alone. I walk fast to him and I apologize. "I'm so sorry." I said. He looked up and smiled.
"It's ok. At least you're here. I thought you weren't going to come."
"No, I wouldn't do that." I sat down and Miley and Selena sit down beside me. "These are my friends Miley and Selena. Girls, this is Nick. He's in my biology class."
"Hey." They both said.
"Hi." He said after.
We spent there talking and getting to know each other. I looked around the cafeteria and see the same black hair guy that was in my class earlier today. He was sitting alone, with his head down as before.
"Nick, is that your brother over there?" I asked, getting curious. He sighs and nodded.
"Yeah. He's been like that since last month." He explains. I looked back at him and feel bad for him.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Uhm.." He looked down.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be nosy."
"No, it's ok. I'm just not ready to tell you yet. But when I am, I promise I will tell you guys." We all nodded, understanding.
