September 2009 trip to Kerala. We flew into Cochin, saw Kathakali (sp?) dancers, took the train to Varkala where we stayed at the Kerala Bamboo House, hopped on the train to Allapey for some house boating (stayed a the Gowri residency for one night and rented their boat...the boat was amazing...they were super helpful, too). We then took the worst cab ride of my life to Munnar...but the beauty of the tea plantations made it worth the trip. The trip concluded with an elephant ride - so much fun!
