Nice shots from our 2-week visit to Puerto Rico in June 2008. We stayed at La Concha in Condado, visited Old San Juan and El Yunque with a friend, Culebra, La Parguera, Barranquitas and Cayey to name a few.

These shots are in random order, set to this particular mix, which was in heavy-rotation on more than 2 stations, played in the clubs, a lot of cars and late late one night at the culinary fest, all over the islands, while we were there.

It's long, but nice. God bless you if you watch the entire thing (and you weren't there with us). jajaja!

  • Would this be a good place to vacation at this summer? Has the BP oil spill affected San Juan much?

  • @geneva1999 Absolutely! Not a drop of that oil has or probably will reach PR anytime soon. The Islands of Puerto Rico are an amazing vacation choice. In addition to the main island, consider an overnight or extended stay at one of PR's "Spanish Virgin Isles" of Isla Culebra or Isla Vieques.

Or daytrips to the dozens of smaller keys and islands, such as Cayo Icacos, Isla Palomino, Cayo Palominito, or on the south side of the island, Guilligan's Island (Cayo Aurora) or Isla Caja de Muertos.

  • Where are those trees that grow from the water at 2:45-2:57? I heard about them and I'm trying to go there next time I go to PR.

  • Those are the mangroves offshore of LaParguera. LaParguera is in the SW corner of the island. You can rent a small boat for about $30 and take it several hundred feet offshore where these mangroves "islands" are. Even though you are quite a distance offshore, the water in the mangrove area is shallow and serene. Great for first time snorkelers and kids.

  • Enjoyed your video! Song sounds like Lennie Kravitz. We also stayed at the La Concha, for a week. Just posted my still shot PR montage. I did a video response to yours. Peace.

  • Thanks!!! Love LaConcha!!
